![]() Rambervillers Cytere Twin-Spouted Vase PeruvienThis spectacular blue and silver metallic lustre twin-spouted 'vase peruvien' has dramatic glaze effects and is in immaculate condition. Ref: Q161 ~ Price £55GBP ![]() Greber French Art Pottery Sailing Boat BowlThis very interesting Greber bowl has a freely drawn design of an early sailing boat in colours of orange, brown and blue. This unusual piece has a stamped mark 'Greber' in script and capitals, and 'BEAUVAIS FRANCE'. This mark is often foumd on pieces decorated by Pierre Greber's wife and daughter, but there are no initials in ink. It dates from the mid 20th.C, and is in excellent, undamaged condition.Size: Height 5cm., diam. 16.5cm. Ref: Q038 ~ Price £45GBP ![]() Desvres 'Gres Grand Feu' Hexagonal VaseThis unusual and rare Desvres vase dates from c1920-30 when the Fourmaintreaux-Delassus Faiencerie was experimenting with stoneware (gres) production. The shape is hexagonal and lobed, with a crackle glaze beneath the smooth, almost 'flamme', effect. It is marked to the base with 'France' and numbers in black, and an impressed 'FD' mark. It is generally in very good condition, but there is an old 2cm. professional repair to the neck rim, only apparent under magnification.Size: Height 14cm., max.diam. 10cm. It is marked to the base with the circular mark used from 1918 to the early 1920's. It is in excellent condition, with just one small rub to the base rim.Size: Height 29cm. Metenier French Art Pottery Tapered VaseThis delicate tapered Metenier vase, with indented panels, is glazed in shades of brown, beige and orange, and is clearly marked to the base with the 'G.Metenier' signature, and 'Roc-Amadour' printed in black. Ref: Q160 ~ Price £35GBP ![]() Roger Guerin Belgian Art Pottery Cup & SaucerThis unusual stoneware cup and saucer, dating from the period 1930-50, has five fleur-de-lys applied to the cup in relief, and the saucer bears the impressed mark 'Guerin'. The cup is in very good condition, with only one very small chip to its foot. The saucer is attractively glazed, and has some crazing and blistering which occurred during firing.Size: Cup height 5.5cm., cup diam. 8.5cm., saucer diam. 14cm. Ref: P229 ~ Price £15GBP ![]() Roger Guerin Belgian Art Pottery VaseThis large and interesting oatmeal splashed over brown glazed vase from the Belgian Bouffioulx Pottery dates from the period c1920-40, and has the incised signature 'Guerin' to the base. The vase has firing faults to the salt-glazed interior, two of which extend to the top rim, but none are visible on the exterior, which is in lovely condition.Size: Height 16cm., max.diam. 16cm. Ref: P343 ~ Price £40GBP ![]() Clement Massier French Art Pottery Cup & SaucerThis eye-catching and unusually 'fluid' cup and saucer by Clement Massier has a lustrous deep pink glaze and a very definite 'Art Nouveau' appearance. The back of the saucer bears the impressed marks (in a triangle) 'Clement Massier', 'Golfe Juan' and 'A.M.'. The cup base, being quite small, only bears the last two marks. The overall condition of the two pieces is excellent, other than a small chip to the spout of the cup (illustrated in the blow-up), and some minor rubs to the rim pf the cup.Size: Cup height 9cm. max.width (over spout) 10cm., saucer max.diam. 14cm. The streaked blue colours have a transluscence at the rim. This surprisingly heavy small vase is marked on the base with the impressed 'FH' stamp, 'Pierrefonds' and '612', and dates from the 1930's. However, the Brenner pieces were made later, at Caen, and date from the 1920's. This vase is incised 'RB' on the base, and is in excellent condition, with just two small rubs on the neck rim.Size: Height 9cm., max.diam. 9cm. Ref: S068 ~ Price £27GBP ![]() Gilbert Metenier French Art Pottery PitcherThis nicely shaped Metenier pitcher is in matt shades of blue-grey on browns, in a glaze which pools to a lustrous finish around the neck. The angled handle is a deco feature, and this piece dates from 1920-35. It is undoubtedly a Metenier product, although the printed Metenier signature on the base is barely legible. Ref: P233 ~ Price £30GBP ![]() Pierrefonds French Art Pottery Crystalline VaseThis handsome Pierrefonds vase has a broad base tapering to a small top rim, from which three right-angled handles are attached to the body. In shades of blue and brown, the vase has striking 'crystallisations' in bursts of colour on the body, and is one of the shapes featured in factory photographs from the 1920's. It is marked on the base with the Pierrefonds 'FH' stamp, and the shape number '565'.
